How to Avoid Pregnancy Miscarriage

Loss of pregnancy, pregnancy miscarriage or the spontaneous and unwanted abortion is the term used if the pregnancy is lost. It takes place in around 20 % of the confirmed pregnancies. When the pregnancy miscarriage takes place the fetus, the placenta and the amniotic sac are expelled out of the body.

    Causes of Pregnancy Miscarriage
    The first and the most common factor of the pregnancy miscarriage is the chromosomal abnormality of the developing child. The reasons of this chromosomal ability can be the genetic disorder or the defective sperm or the egg.

     Pregnancy Miscarriage The lifestyle of the expectant mother during the pre pregnancy days and during pregnancy is another factor that causes the pregnancy miscarriage. Like smoking, drinking alcohol or exposure to some unsafe synthetic materials may increase the risk factor of miscarriage.

    Some health issues like Imbalance of hormones, diabetes, problems of the uterus and ovaries are some of the other major contributors of miscarriage. Expectant mother who have some cardiovascular problem or have some kidney, liver or thyroid problem are at increased risk of miscarriage

    It is generally recommended that if the mother is given proper pre pregnancy care she can eliminate most of the risk factors that are responsible for pregnancy miscarriage.

    Symptoms of miscarriage

    The first symptom of miscarriage is the vaginal bleeding. If the pregnancy was not confirmed previously and the women is having vaginal bleeding that last for more than 14 days it is better to consult the doctor. As this vaginal bleeding may be because of the spontaneous abortion or some other serious issue that requires doctors attention.

    If the pregnancy was confirmed and then the women starts to bleed, first she can rightly think that it is the implantation bleeding. But if she has to change the tampons or pads after every one hour it is better to consult the doctor as it signals the pregnancy miscarriage. This vaginal bleeding is usually accompanied by lower back pain and the contractions of the uterus. Sometimes there are clots with the vaginal discharge. Some women also experience the termination of the pregnancy symptoms. Like the breast remain no tenderer, or there is no more morning sickness.

    There are many types of miscarriages

    Threatened miscarriage
    If the expectant mother is suffering from a light bleeding, but have a closed cervix as examined by the doctors such a miscarriage is termed threatened miscarriage.

    Inevitable miscarriage
    If the expectant mother is suffering from the uterine bleeding accompanied by an open cervix this is termed inevitable miscarriage.

    Complete miscarriage
    If the expectant mother loses the fetus, placenta and the other products of conception this is termed complete miscarriage.

    Missed miscarriage
    If the embryo dies inside the womb of the mother and the products of conception are not expelled out of the mother’s body this condition is termed missed miscarriage.

    Recurrent miscarriages may occur in some women because of any of the above listed cause. The risk factors of miscarriages can be reduced if the women who is planning for the pregnancy takes certain precautions and adopt healthy lifestyles.

    i married in 2004 and had 4 times Pregnancy Miscarriage.aug 2006, feb 2007, sep 2008 and jan 2009. usually period get delayed for a week. pls advice me on preccautions should i follow and how can i avoid Pregnancy Miscarriage?
